Our beloved Live Sawn offers a beautiful floor that’s both cost effective and environmentally sound. With a unique milling that reveals many characteristics of the oak, this plank flooring makes for an amazing foundation for many homes and designs.

White Oak is a standard in wood flooring, well known for its hardness, grains, and flexibility with different home designs.
Live Sawn is straight cutting the log all the way through from the outside bark to the center. 
The cut boards will include the total range of the log’s characteristics offering you a unique mix of clear and natural grades with direction of grains varying from plain sawn towards the middle to rift & quarter sawn at the edges. Notably, for plank, the wider you go, the more these unique characteristics are displayed. The other aspects of this milling is that these planks creates very little waste. Live Sawn offers a beautiful floor that’s both cost effective and environmentally sound.
INSTALLATION
Oak is hard and strong, works fairly easily, glues well, and takes stain extremely well.

Grade
Conservation Grade wood floors offer the beauty of select with some variation and knots that gives a floor a more natural appearance. Mineral marks and sound knots are welcome.
Minimum length is 12 inches.
Beautiful mix of natural colors (heartwood and sapwood). Mineral marks and piling marks are accepted. Knots of up to 3/4″ are filled. Splits, checks are accepted as well.
Finish
Most of our Prefinished has 9 coats of UV coating, ranks among the highest quality, and, unlike Box Stores, ours have the smallest micro bevel in the industry! We also offer custom staining.
The quality of Engineered Wood depends on the thickness of the veneer ply and the origin of the wood (quality of the mill). We are happy to provide you with the best engineered flooring for many species of floors.
